Overview
SFMC Mastery is a free educational resource for Salesforce Marketing Cloud practitioners. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
We keep things simple: we do not sell your data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we collect only what is necessary to operate and improve the site.
We collect basic analytics (page views, referrers) to understand what content is useful. We do not collect personal information unless you contact us directly. We do not sell data to anyone.

Automatically collected
When you visit SFMC Mastery, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log:
- Your IP address (typically anonymised or truncated)

This information is used in aggregate to understand traffic patterns and does not identify you personally.

- We do not collect payment information — the site is free

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies
SFMC Mastery uses minimal cookies. Specifically:
- Essential cookies — required for basic site functionality (e.g. remembering your preference for light/dark mode if implemented). These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Analytics cookies — if we use a privacy-respecting analytics tool, it may set a cookie to distinguish unique visits. This cookie does not track you across other websites.

Data retention
We retain data only as long as necessary:
- Server/access logs — typically retained for up to 90 days by our hosting provider, then deleted automatically
- Enquiry emails — retained for up to 2 years in case of follow-up, then deleted
- Anonymised analytics aggregates — retained indefinitely (no personal data involved)
